Unexpected Emergency Cuts Trump Press Event Short as Dr. Oz’s Family Member Falls Ill

A press conference led by former President Donald Trump came to an unexpected and abrupt end on Friday, after a sudden medical incident unfolded behind the scenes.

The event, held to officially swear in Dr. Mehmet Oz as the new head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), quickly shifted tone when the live broadcast was cut mid-sentence and screens went dark. Moments earlier, Trump had been addressing the press before being interrupted and briefly stepping away from the podium.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt quickly called the conference to a halt, urging members of the media to clear the room immediately. Though the White House has yet to release an official statement, sources have confirmed the interruption was due to a medical emergency involving a member of Dr. Oz’s family.

According to FOX News, one of Dr. Oz’s children required urgent attention and had to be escorted out of the Oval Office. Witnesses at the scene noted visible concern on the face of Dr. Oz’s wife, Lisa, as the situation unfolded. Dr. Oz himself quickly moved to assist, adding to the urgency of the moment.

“The press is being asked to leave—something is clearly happening,” a FOX News anchor noted during the sudden feed cutoff.

Later footage appeared to show a young girl being helped as she was led away from the Oval Office, though her condition remains unknown. As of now, no further details have been released by White House officials.
