From Teen Tattoo to Total Transformation: Orylan’s $70K Journey Shocks the Internet

One of the most striking figures on Instagram, Orylan has become a viral sensation thanks to her daring look and radical body modifications — and her “before” photos have left people completely stunned.

It all started at age 14
Now 26, Orylan began her transformation more than a decade ago, when she got her first tattoo at just 14 years old. Since then, she’s turned her entire body into a canvas, gaining over 143,000 followers who are drawn to her unconventional appearance.

But the ink is only part of the picture.

She’s taken her modifications to bold new levels, going as far as tattooing the whites of her eyes and splitting her tongue to create a snake-like look. These changes have brought a mix of admiration and criticism, but Orylan remains confident and open about her choices.

Unrecognizable in before photos
The contrast between her early photos and her current appearance has shocked followers online, with many unable to believe it’s the same person.

“People often say I ruined myself, but to me, this is the beauty I always wanted to create,” Orylan told NeedToKnow. “I feel like I was beautiful before, but now I truly look the way I’ve always envisioned. My most extreme mods include my split tongue, tattooed eyeballs, and an implant in my hand.”

Rather than following a specific image or trend, she says her transformation is ongoing and driven by her own personal style. “I don’t have a final look in mind. I take it day by day, changing things as I feel inspired — maybe more face tattoos, maybe even tattooing my tongue.”

Taste-testing with a twist
Having a tongue that splits in two may seem extreme, but Orylan says it comes with some interesting perks — like the ability to taste two different foods at the same time. She once tried Coca-Cola and Sprite simultaneously and described the combination as “confusing but totally unique.” The $700 procedure involved numbing her tongue, slicing it down the middle, and stitching each side separately.

Haters online, confidence offline
Despite constant criticism and stares from strangers, Orylan shares her journey proudly on social media. She says reactions range from silent stares to rude comments, with some people even calling her a “demon.”

“The harshest reactions are always from people hiding behind screens,” she said. “They’ll say things like, ‘You looked better before,’ or ‘You must have had a messed-up childhood.’”

But she refuses to let the negativity shake her. Her message to others considering body mods? “Only do it out of love. If changing your body brings you happiness, that’s what matters. For me, modifying myself has brought joy — and I hope others feel the same if they choose that path.”

And those before-and-after images? You’d be forgiven for thinking they show two completely different people.

So, what do you think — would you have recognized her? And how far would you go in the name of self-expression?
