Hollywood Legacy: Cheryl Ladd’s Daughter Jordan Turns 50

It’s no wonder Jordan Ladd has carved out a successful career in Hollywood. As the daughter of Charlie’s Angels star Cheryl Ladd and film producer David Ladd, she was born into a world of glitz and glamour.

With a captivating mix of her mother’s beauty and her father’s film industry connections, Jordan has built her own impressive career in acting and filmmaking.

A Childhood in the Spotlight

Cheryl and David married in 1973 and welcomed their daughter, Jordan Elizabeth Ladd, in 1975. Though their marriage ended in 1980, Jordan’s exposure to showbiz only grew. She was raised amid the lights of Hollywood, which fueled her creative spirit.

In a 2010 interview with Media Mikes, Jordan reflected on her upbringing:

“Growing up in a showbiz family, you’re always sort of performing. If you’re in trouble, you’ll write a song or a play to make things right. I’ve always been in love with films and storytelling… it’s what I know best.”

On the Big Screen

Jordan’s acting journey kicked off in the mid-1990s. She made an early appearance in a 1994 episode of Saved by the Bell: The New Class, playing a character named Debbie. Her breakout role came with the 1999 rom-com Never Been Kissed, where she shared the screen with Drew Barrymore.

Jordan went on to shine in cult hits like The Specials (2000), Cabin Fever (2002), and Club Dread (2004). Her range and love for genre films, especially horror-comedies, helped her stand out as more than just the daughter of a Hollywood star — she proved she was a talented artist in her own right.

Mother-Daughter Duo

In 2018, Jordan and Cheryl had the chance to work together on the holiday movie The Christmas Contract. Cheryl told Closer Weekly that the experience brought them even closer:

“It was the most time we’ve spent together since she moved out… We’re not just mother and daughter — we’re great friends who share everything. She always knows how to make me laugh.”

A Peek into Her Personal Life

Outside of acting, Jordan was married to film editor Conor O’Neill from 2001 to 2005. O’Neill has worked on acclaimed films like Moneyball, Foxcatcher, and Falling Up. The couple didn’t have children together.

Cheryl’s Extended Family

While Jordan is Cheryl Ladd’s only biological child, she also has a stepdaughter, Lindsay Russell, from David Ladd’s previous marriage. Cheryl has nurtured a close relationship with Lindsay over the years, cherishing her blended family.
