A haunting coincidence has emerged between two major air disasters decades apart. Thai singer and actor Ruangsak Loychusak, who miraculously survived a 1998 Thai Airways crash that claimed 101 lives, has spoken out after learning that the sole survivor of the recent Air India crash was seated in the exact same seat—11A.
Back in 1998, Ruangsak’s flight went down in a swamp while attempting to land. Now 47, he recalls years of emotional struggle after the ordeal, including a deep fear of flying and recurring flashbacks of the crash.
Fast forward to the present: an Air India flight departing Ahmedabad for London tragically crashed into a building shortly after takeoff. Of the 244 people on board, only one man survived—40-year-old Vishwash Kumar Ramesh from Leicester, UK. He described a strange moment before impact, saying the aircraft felt as if it had “stuck in the air.” Thrown from the plane near an emergency exit, Ramesh managed to crawl to safety despite serious injuries. Tragically, his brother was among the many feared dead.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ramesh and other survivors in the hospital. Meanwhile, authorities continue to investigate what led to the fatal crash.
