A New Chapter for Dan Bongino: Seeking Accountability for Adam Schiff

Dan Bongino has sparked speculation about serious repercussions looming for California Senator Adam Schiff. In a recent podcast, the former Secret Service agent expressed that Schiff appears “concerned” about his future. This came just a day before Bongino was announced as the new deputy director of the FBI, hinting at potentially turbulent times ahead for Schiff.

Bongino, 50, made it clear that he has no intention of letting the controversial Trump-Russia collusion narrative fade away. “I won’t rest until the truth is revealed. This must never happen again,” he stated passionately. “The FBI, in concert with the DOJ, congressional members, foreign nations, and intelligence personnel, crafted a narrative that could have gravely impacted global relations with a nuclear-capable rival.”

In March 2017, then-Congressman Schiff advocated for an inquiry into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russia, claiming he had seen “more than circumstantial evidence.” Even after the Republican-led House concluded its investigation, Schiff published a 21-page report proposing further inquiry.

However, a special counsel investigation led by John Durham in May 2023 found no evidence supporting the collusion claims, citing a “lack of analytical rigor” within the FBI’s review. Bongino remains steadfast in seeking accountability.

“We can’t tolerate manipulating the justice system for political gain,” he asserted. “Why am I bringing this up now? Because Adam Schiff was central to this spectacle, and I am not letting it go.”

Trump announced Bongino’s new role via Truth Social, naming him as the second-in-command to Kash Patel. Together, the trio aims to dismantle what Trump has long called the FBI’s weaponization during his administration and throughout four ensuing trials. Notably, the 2022 FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago remains a vivid memory for Trump, despite its ultimate dismissal.

Bongino, a veteran of the U.S. Secret Service from 1999 to 2011, has criticized the agency’s lapses leading up to the July 2024 assassination attempt on Trump. This event triggered the resignation of the agency’s director and acting director, with veteran Sean Curran now at the helm.

Trump praised Bongino’s appointment, highlighting his expertise and unyielding integrity. “Dan Bongino is a highly respected former Secret Service agent and one of the most successful podcasters in the country. He’s putting it all on the line to help restore fairness, justice, and order to America. Together with Pam Bondi and Kash Patel, this team will work to eradicate corruption and reinstate trust in our institutions. Congratulations, Dan!”
