From Newsroom Sparks to 20 Years of Love: Harris Faulkner and Tony Berlin’s Real-Life Romance

What began as a professional rivalry turned into a love story that’s lasted over two decades. Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner and her husband, Tony Berlin, have built a life that proves opposites not only attract — they thrive together.

Long before they were partners in life, Faulkner and Berlin were working at competing TV stations in Minneapolis — she with ABC, and he with CBS. Their first meeting was anything but smooth: Berlin had arranged to meet Faulkner at a party, but unexpectedly brought another woman along.

“He showed up with a date — even though we’d planned to talk,” Faulkner later said with a laugh. “Bold move!”

Despite the rocky start, a friendship developed, and after about six months, Faulkner agreed to give Berlin a real chance. That decision changed everything. Just over a year later, he proposed during a lakeside walk by Lake Superior — slipping her a small box with a ring inside.

“He tossed it to me and said, ‘Don’t drop it!’” Faulkner recalled. They tied the knot on April 12, 2003, in Arizona and have been together ever since.

A Power Couple Beyond the Camera

Berlin isn’t just Faulkner’s partner in life — he has an impressive media background of his own. With 15 years in broadcast journalism, including time at CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC, he eventually stepped away from the camera to launch his own PR company, Berlin Media Relations.

Faulkner once described him as a “brilliant live-shot artist.” Today, he’s helping brands make headlines instead of covering them.

Blending Traditions, Raising Daughters

The couple has two daughters — Bella (born in 2006) and Danika (born in 2009) — and take pride in raising them in a multicultural, interfaith household. Faulkner, a Christian, and Berlin, who is Jewish, embrace their differences.

“We’re racially and religiously different — and it’s beautiful,” Faulkner shared in an interview. From church services to celebrating Passover, their home is a place where traditions blend seamlessly. “We share every meal. We share a prayer,” she said. “There’s more that unites us than divides us.”

Standing Strong Together

Berlin’s support has gone beyond day-to-day family life. In a deeply personal gesture, he helped Faulkner preserve her late father’s legacy by filming interviews with him before his passing in 2020. Those recordings became part of her Fox Nation special, Footsteps of My Father.

On their 20th wedding anniversary, Berlin found a creative way to celebrate their journey: he gave Faulkner a Kansas City Chiefs jersey with her name and the number 20 on the back.

“I thought, ‘That’s not Mahomes’ number!’” Faulkner joked. “Then he told me, ‘You’re on my team.’”

That kind of love? It’s not just for the movies — it’s real life, 20 years strong.
